Elk Mountain

Grants Pass, Oregon

10 miles with 2100 Feet of elevation gain

My brother-in-law, Rick Bernheisel, and I rode this one hot morning at the end of July.  It was fun to get out and ride, but the dirt and gravel roads leave you desiring something a heck of a lot more fun.  It was steep, loose and not all that fun to have to pedal up.  Especially if your legs aren't used to climbing almost a half mile of verticle.

The gigantic trees along the trail
The thick forest of Elk Mountain

The sun peaking through the flora and fauna
The trail sloping away from me

And another break...he is going to beat me for these pictures
